*There are bonus problems in the multiplying and dividing decimals section in the Eureka 1 Tab. This is not mandatory, but will help your team score!

September 16th Homework

You will be attempting to complete two-digit multiplication using partial products. At first, it may look confusing, but follow the steps and you will find that it is quite simple.

Step 1-You will multiply the 4 (in the ones column) with the 3 (in the ones column) and get 12.

Mult Step 1***

Step 2-You will then multiply the 4 (in the ones column) with the 3 (in the tens column). Therefore 4 x 30, which would equal 120.

Mult Step 2****

Step 3- Now you will multiply the 2 (in the tens column) with the 3 (in the ones column). Therefor 20 x 3, which would equal 60.

Mult Step 3***

Step 4- Now you will multiply the 2 (in the tens column) with the 3 (in the tens column). Therefore 20 x 30, which would equal 600.

Mult Step 4 ***

Step 5-In the last step, you will simply add up all of the numbers to get the total (which would be 792).

Mult Step 5***

Please answer the following multiplication questions below exactly like the example above.

1.) 46 x 26 = _______________________

2.) 78 x 42 = _______________________

3.) 85 x 63 = ______________________
